Saturday blahs

Feeling out of sorts? Uncertain? Unaccomplished? Wondering whether you should swing or take the pitch?

Do you feel like you just can't get started? Don't know which way to turn? Afraid to make a move? Did you intend to write a Blog Bataround post by today's deadline, but haven't even written word one?

Well, indecisive ones, I'm right there with ya today. I'm just not feeling it. But to cheer you up, I thought I'd show a couple other people's screw-ups. But just a couple, because like I said, I'm not feeling it.

First, one of mine. This is what I call "When blog posts collide." This happens to me quite a bit. My scanner is not at eye-level. And I often forget and leave the last card I scan underneath the scanner cover. So, then when it's time to scan a new card, I just plop it on the old card without looking and I end up with the Matlack-Billingsley monster card here.

Secondly, somebody else's screw-up. I offer two of my all-time favorite airbrush jobs. These belong in the Airbrush Hall of Fame. Whoever was entrusted with painting the Old-English "D" on the following cards, must have dreaded his/her assignment, knowing full well they couldn't handle the job, because this is what happened:

Airbrusher: "Please don't make me paint those 'Ds'! I always end up painting them too big and off-center!"

And you think you have inadequacies. This person's "artwork" is preserved for all eternity.

Hope that made you feel a little better.

I don't know what it's like over your way, but here in north central Ohio it's been cloudy and rainy all day. That doesn't help things, but it does feel good to know someone besides me screws up too!I did manage an Indians minor league post and set up a couple new trades though. Some shiny Dodgers are headed your way also! (I just had to retype the word verification-screwed up the first time!)

I like how they couldn't be bothered to airbrush out the pinstripes on Houk's jersey. I assume that would be quite simple, but maybe he was gassed by that awful 'D'.
