The other day, veteran Dodgers prospect Keibert Ruiz hit a home run in his first major league at-bat. My first thought was: "This is why I like the Dodgers." No, Ruiz's feat made me proud of my Dodgers' fanship because he was a prospect that I had known for several years as being a good player, who then made an immediate impact when his number was called.
