A few minutes, a few cards

The hits keep on coming. Still crazy busy here, as soon as something is resolved, more shows up -- "Hello! Deal with me!!"

I'm not going to get into it all. I do that too much and, well, there's not enough time to bore people. So, hey, here are some relatively recently arrived cards that I'll bang out in hopefully a few minutes!!

Dennis at Too Many Verlanders graced me with a surprise envelope a couple weeks (or more?) ago. Much appreciated. So much that among the chaos I frantically looked for some cards to set aside for him once things blew over. I came up with one card. It's been staring at me for days. Obviously not the time for that. But it's a nice card!

I'll start with the best card from what I needed. It's a 1998 Leaf Fractal Materials something-or-other that I'm still trying to decipher, obviously a riff on his 1993 Leaf rookies card. The card looks shinier in person, sorry for the dull picture. And it's numbered to 3,250, which in 1998 was an excuse to freak right out.

Along the same lines as the Piazza card, it's a 1997 Pinnacle Zenith card of Chan Ho Park. Except this is the Artist's Proof version. Did I know that Pinnacle Zenith had Artist's Proof parallels? Of course not. Every day is a world of discovery.

Here is the "stamp-a-card-make-a-parallel" concept in 2023. The All-Star Game parallels, which are not to be confused with any other All-Star inserts, etc., from the same year. Not that I've ever confused any of that stuff. No, not me. Never.

Oh, and this card is foreshadowing.

Because ...

Here is a whole bunch of the 2024 version of the All-Star Game parallels on some Dodgers cards. Woo-boy. See what you wrought, late 1990s?

I've recently written how stuff like this is what I'm starting to weed out of my team binders. I'm not crazy about putting a delightful design like 2024 Topps in a box, but Topps is the one that messed with it.

Panini getting into the parallel act with these two cards. Maybe the Buehler one is just an insert, I don't remember. I'll figure it out when there's time.

And that's it!

It does say something that every card that I needed from this envelope was a parallel. I may have actually finally hit the wall.

But there's no time for existential collecting crises. Later. ... We'll talk about that later.

That Franchise card at the top is a nice one (even with Jones as a Brave) I don't think I've seen that particular insert before. The Topps parallels are waaay too much, but that's not Dennis's fault. In fact he deserves applause just for batting 1.000 with this PWE.
The Buehler insert is also a green parallel :)
I didn't realize that they were doing those ASG stamped things. Sometimes I hate Topps.
Is it really Topps' doing those ASG stampings or is it odd that so far i've only ever pulled them from those what do you call them walgreen repacks? Ugh i gotta go down and oh yeah MJ Holdings

Maybe in a parallel universe I like parallels!
