How I celebrate spring

It's that time again. It's the one day of the year in which I take a break from baseball musings to devote all of my time to my daughter.

It is her birthday today.

She hasn't said much positive about baseball since that momentous occasion. Fortunately, one of her gifts will get her to appreciate the best game in the world a little more (it's Wii-related).

Happy birthday, sweetheart. In your honor, I am featuring the only relic that you'd be interested in obtaining.

No, sweetie, I don't really have this card. But how about if I make a deal with you? I get this card for you and you watch one spring training game on the MLB Network with me. Nine innings. You and me. I'll even limit the personal commentary.

No?

That's OK.

Summer is coming. I've already looked up ticket prices.

Whew! I thought you were expanding your "player" collection. I'll bet you get some email offers to trade for that one though!! Enjoy your day...and Happy Birthday to your daughter.

Happy Birthday to your daughter!

Enjoy the day.

My kids (boys) like that show too.
that I Carly card is pretty rad, but I don't know if its worth 9 innings... I'd give it to her for 3 (innings). Congrats to you and happy birthday to your little Owl! Enjoy!
