The mall show, part 2

  So as mentioned in the  last post , it had been a year since Angus and I had gone to a card show together. We're both busy guys with super-hectic jobs and other issues that rudely won't get out of the way for leisurely pursuits.   He had been saving up some collectibles for me all the while. When we met at the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, he unloaded what I'm sure had been taking up too much space for too long.   There was a variety of stuff and all the card items were full of variety, too. Let's start with a legends set that I've always enjoyed.   This is a decent stack of 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game. I own all the Dodgers in this set already, but the purpose of this was to get me started on another set chase I believe.   I do like my legends -- and I now have more than half of the set. I'll take your sympathy

(If you haven't read yesterday's post, maybe take a look at it . I mean, come on, how often do you get a chance to share cards with a former major leaguer and get his comments on them?) 2019 has been a rough year, I'll admit. But it's also been an active year, full of some good stuff, too, and because of that, it's difficult for me to remember that I'm supposed to be upset and miserable all the time. Yeah, I'm still sad that my folks are gone. Yeah, I'm still mad the Dodgers aren't down 3-2 to the Astros right now. But, I don't know, it's just not in my personality to feel perpetually mopey, I guess. And I think it's human nature to forget the bad memories and hold on to the good ones. So, sometimes I need to be reminded of my unfortunate luck this year. The latest time was with a surprise package from R.C. , who has sent me many wonderful vintage-themed card packages before.
