A giveaway realization

It's time to give away some more cards that no longer fit in my collection. I haven't done one of these since July. But it's almost been a year since I started these giveaways, so there's at least one more before I see if I want to continue this.

My purpose in giving these cards away is to free up some space on the two shelves that house most of my binders.

That's shelf one. There are five binders that are lying flat (not counting the top shelf) that I'd like to move into a vertical position with the rest of them. But it's proving to be a tougher task than I thought. I think I just have too many cards that I'd like to keep in binders -- forever.

I could put some binders on the top shelf but I don't want to stress out that top shelf any more, it's an old unit and there's some bowing. If I leave it the way it is, it should be OK.

This is the other, sturdier shelf. There is one binder lying flat -- the 2024 Heritage binder -- that I'd like to work in with the rest. The quick-and-easy answer to my shelf space dilemma is the remove all the display stuff I have on the top shelf and put binders up there. The unit will be able to take it and I'll sleep better at night.

The problem is I like the display up there. ... Maybe if I move the display over to the other shelving unit (and swap those binders on that top shelf to this shelving unit), I can have the best of both worlds. I should try it out. Sounds like a weekend activity (after dealing with all the trick-or-treaters).

But meanwhile, there's still cards to get out of the house. As I was gathering this round of cards, I realized that I just am not interested in Topps' many spin-off sets anymore. In general, I preferred Heritage, Allen & Ginter and Stadium Club. I'd tolerate some of the others, while buying less of it. But now, I am not interested in hardly any period. It's kind lost all meaning to me -- Archives, Big League, Bunt, Gypsy Queen, Fire, and even A&G and Stadium Club.

With that in mind, here's what's in the giveaway stack:

Almost all of what I have from 2015 Allen & Ginter, maybe around one-third of the set. I've never liked the 2015 version and it was the beginning of me turning away from the brand, though I bought it steadily for the next few years.

Some of those "spin-off" brands that I just mentioned. There's a few more cards than these, I took this photo before adding some more. Maybe around 70 cards total.

A smattering of 2000s-era cards, really not many, and nothing I ever collected.

And it wouldn't be one of these giveaways if I didn't throw in some Bowman! Yeah, there are guys who never made it in here, but also a few familiar names and cards that go back to the '90s with some of the best names in the lot -- Mark Hamburger!

In total it's around 260 cards. I hope I have a box to fit them all. I should be able to send it out in the next week or two.

As usual I am giving these all away together, to the first person who claims them in the comments. The claimant also must email me their address if I don't have it already.

Through seven giveaways, all have been claimed and by a different person, too. I like that. But I never expect anyone to want them and I am fully  prepared to return these back to my collection. But if I have to do that, they may be banished to the basement -- because there's no room in the card room.

OK, with that last comment in mind about each one being claimed by a different person: I believe you're counting me as one of those people for the Dodger box you sent me. So I'll stake a claim but if there's someone who hasn't gotten something from you, I'll withdraw it. (Or if you'd like to split it, I'd be OK with that, too.)

Thanks regardless!

Or if Gerry's comment beat me to it, nevermind!
Good luck with the continued downsizing! The basement is like Detention Hall.

Gerry wins the cards. Just beat Brett's comment. ... There's no rule against repeat winners, I just thought it was nice that these cards are being distributed to a variety of collectors.

I bought a few of those silver racks (shelves) for my garage. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are. Right now I have some 5,000ct. boxes stored on them, but one day I might convert them into binder shelves.
