I know I said I wouldn't show any Allen & Ginter until the Gint-a-Cuffs scoring system was released, but I couldn't resist posting this card.
When I pulled it, I knew instantly that there are collectors -- probably many -- who absolutely loathe this card. They hate it more than their 1989 Fleer want list. They hate it more than black borders that chip. Is that a card of the $#@*&% Royal Wedding?
But you're going to hear that kind of reaction over and over before A&G runs its course.
For a different reaction, I showed the card to the girly girls in my house.
Me: Look what card I got.
Wife: Ooooooooooooooooooh!!!!
Daughter: What? What?
Wife: Come look!
Daughter: Ooooooooooooooh!!!!
Wife: (with envy in her voice): You got a Royal Wedding card!
Daughter: I LIKE Allen & Ginter.
Wife: Can you leave it out so I can look at it after I'm done doing the dishes?
Me: I need to put it back in the pack in order (I wasn't going to explain Gint-a-Cuffs to them).
Wife (to daughter): Turn the card over, my hands are wet.
(Daughter turns over the card. Wife reads rabidly).
Wife: That is so cool.
(Daughter gives a thumbs-up).
(2 hours later)
Wife: You have a card of the Royal Wedding!
So ...
What's my opinion, as someone officially, Caught In the Middle?
Well ...
Truthfully ...
I just think Kate Middleton is hot.

A&G isn't really my thing, so I may just have to get her one of EBay.
