Play ball! (2017)

Perhaps you thought I had forgotten about this post, what with games starting already.

Nope. I haven't forgotten. I just decided I wasn't going to kill myself trying to get this post up before noon today, especially with teams like the Yankees, Giants and Diamondbacks starting off the season. Bluh.

This is about the right time, just before the Cubs and Cardinals do their thing.

Welcome to the official unofficial start of the season.

Here we go:

OK, I'm taking credit for the second year in a row for getting a team out if its World Series championship drought. Although I greatly enjoyed digging up a card from 1908 every year for the Cubs, I suppose it was time for them to win something.

And since "Play Ball!" has been posting the Royals were revived from the '80s and the Giants from the '50s! It's probably time that some of the teams who have never won a Series (and have been stagnating over "no photo available" for the entire length of this exercise) finally did something.

Or, how about this: how about my Dodgers this year?

Enjoy the game tonight. And all the games tomorrow especially.

Hell, enjoy the season.

Now. Go enjoy it now.

As always it makes you pause as you get to the Indians and see the Hegan. As always that kind of puts things in perspective. Sure is a neat card tho.

Can't wait to see the Padres kicking off this post next year ;)

Just when I was about to say I'm sick of seeing 1990 Topps...you throw up 1990 Donruss. Ugh. Based on the Reds' pitching staff (or lack thereof) this year, I'd say you might as well start scanning another 1990 card for next year's post.

At least the Pirates have a cool year associated with it. I would appreciate them updating....
