But that's also coming from someone who collected from the 90's and enjoyed that era so I am not foiled by foilsMatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02949460127063264497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-55096020242827188602016-02-13T16:38:56.236-05:002016-02-13T16:38:56.236-05:00Haven't opened any 2016 yet... but I wasn'...Haven't opened any 2016 yet... but I wasn't a fan of more than half of the inserts produced last year. Gallery of Greats was a beautiful set. But the Free Agent 40, Rarities, Archetypes, Eclipsing History, Highlight of the Year, Stepping Up, Whatever Works, Rookie Sensations, Tape Measure Blasts, Baseball Royalty, and Baseball History inserts probably could have been subsets IMHO. Actually... most of my grumbling has to do with the fact that they flooded our hobby with all of these insert sets. Had they used two or three of these insert ideas and made them a little more challenging to pull, then I would have been okay with that as well.

I'll definitely keep an open mind though with their 2016 set. Regardless if I like them or not... as long as it's attracting collectors to our hobby... I'll take that as a positive thing.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-27985932344381851532016-02-13T16:08:24.646-05:002016-02-13T16:08:24.646-05:00I'd be interested in those two Rockies cards.I'd be interested in those two Rockies cards.Adam Kaningherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05604439081636666350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-61840331233839176292016-02-13T13:41:00.585-05:002016-02-13T13:41:00.585-05:00All Dodger cards are appreciated, even more so whe...All Dodger cards are appreciated, even more so when I get a post out of them.night owlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11673973790245316059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-38258461068863839922016-02-13T12:30:17.037-05:002016-02-13T12:30:17.037-05:00I find inserts that have a concept behind them far...I find inserts that have a concept behind them far better than the same card with some mediocre shine on it. Free Agent 40, while not well-executed, had a good concept. I sometimes get annoyed by the overwhelming number of parallels out there, but these rainbow foils are better than most of Topps' cheap inserts (last year's Free Agent 40, for just one example).Trevor Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09207010676916110937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-3750349900840271002016-02-13T10:50:27.940-05:002016-02-13T10:50:27.940-05:00I personally don't mind the foils as much as t...I personally don't mind the foils as much as the cheap, overproduced inserts (that look exactly the same year after year) they flood the hobby with.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-91427821302571365992016-02-13T10:20:58.742-05:002016-02-13T10:20:58.742-05:00AmenAmenSascards67https://www.blogger.com/profile/16599285497392953869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-17891903747368856782016-02-13T04:50:14.845-05:002016-02-13T04:50:14.845-05:00The foils bore me. Also don't really care for the Walmart/Target/Toys r Us cards either.
I collect Rays cards and I know of at least one other blogger (I can't remember his name, but he had a pc that included Alex Cobb and Longo) that does. Can't think of anyone that collects Marlins cards but there has to be somebody (especially near Miami) that blogs and has a Marlins collection. You would think there were more cars bloggers out there, but it seems that there are maybe only 50-100, based on the fact that certain teams don't get much love.
