Maybe a question mark is a good idea when hyping up a rookie as a Future Franchise player, though.gregoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17740439412693373442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-61637157335451659822019-05-08T11:07:09.981-04:002019-05-08T11:07:09.981-04:00Pedro Martinez probably still does not know who Ka...Pedro Martinez probably still does not know who Karim Garcia is...Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16119362273891780713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-89608414102884895372019-05-08T10:01:43.584-04:002019-05-08T10:01:43.584-04:00I never even thought about this concept. It immediately brings to mind an NBA player, who despite having a guaranteed three year contract, played in zero games...but has at least 30 cards in my collection. This is..."No mood to calculate math" :(<br /><br />This is an interesting idea though. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure who the Reds' representative would be on the "overproduced" list. Mike Cameron and Ron Gant both are options, though both played before the plague of parallels in the baseball world took over which might limit the number of cards that I own of each them.Nachos Grandehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02911007368272468591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-32404417652577172102019-05-07T20:57:54.730-04:002019-05-07T20:57:54.730-04:00I've wondered about this kind of thing as well...I've wondered about this kind of thing as well. I too collect Karim Garcia for some reason, and noticed that he had a lot of cards as a Dodger despite only playing in a handful of games for them. Another good one I can think of is Jack Cust (another kinda obscure dude I collect) -- I own about 30 of his Diamondbacks cards even though he appeared in just three games in Arizona.<br /><br />Depending on how you look at it, the golden boy could be Josh Hamilton: I have right around 50 cards of him with the Devil Rays and he ended up playing exactly zero games for them!Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13508921644099472101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-4449555300608018882019-05-07T19:59:14.288-04:002019-05-07T19:59:14.288-04:00Definitely remembered more for bullpen fights.Definitely remembered more for bullpen fights.Section 36https://www.blogger.com/profile/18194098940017348361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-78980979402005687802019-05-07T19:55:49.763-04:002019-05-07T19:55:49.763-04:00I always thought Garcia would hit 40 HRs in a seas...I always thought Garcia would hit 40 HRs in a season. He never did, but I still collect him and am glad he has so many cards. I kind of thought it would be Piazza or Kershaw with the astronomical amount of cards they get every year between base cards and parallels and inserts and parallels of inserts and such.
