Like jacobmrley says, I wonder if they do it on purpose -- maybe someone tried to sue them once because they thought a reprinted design was the real thing? Seems silly, but possible.night owlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11673973790245316059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-82136493866790177982012-05-18T09:56:16.091-04:002012-05-18T09:56:16.091-04:00I've often wondered why there are inaccuracies...I've often wondered why there are inaccuracies in the designs like that. Coming from the same company that put out the originals, wouldn't you think they still have the templates or something to go by? Why do they seem to be starting from scratch reproducing their old designs?
Heck, it's quite easy for me to copy elements from card scans and make custom cards with just the limited program I have. And mine are more accurate!

Ditto on Nadia...whewGCAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14713246271197550543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-89858768146261623932012-05-18T08:33:25.657-04:002012-05-18T08:33:25.657-04:00I am almost convinced they do the faux-vintage car...I am almost convinced they do the faux-vintage cards with little differences on purpose, just in case, like how they make Army uniforms wrong in movies on purpose. Or maybe they do it to see if we are paying attention. Or maybe they just don't give a shit on getting things "right" and are content with "close" - when it comes to Topps, that seems the most likely.jacobmrleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13991748868368917576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-16943569187383655412012-05-18T03:02:49.715-04:002012-05-18T03:02:49.715-04:00You are the Joe Friday of card bloggers. You are the Joe Friday of card bloggers.Play at the Platehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14231140141558021698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-75515246676467901842012-05-18T00:03:44.777-04:002012-05-18T00:03:44.777-04:00I'm bothered more by the use of photographs in...I'm bothered more by the use of photographs instead of artwork for the 1956 Larson.

Not as bad as the 1953 archives set.
