Since 1964, Topps has associated specific color schemes with specific teams. For example, in 1972, every Pirates card had a light blue border. This is an attempt to find out how closely Topps was able to match the colors it chose to a club's team colors through the years.
For each team, I have selected only the Topps base sets in which Topps used color combinations based on the team that was featured. I ignored those sets that used color schemes that had nothing to do with the team shown (for example, 1975 or 1997).
