Not all hope is lost, although I realize I am probably one of a few my age who like it old school.

It's funny that you mentioned the new swatch and auto fads. While I like pulling them because they may get some a few bucks on eBay (so I can buy other cards I really want), I hate that they never even have a career stat line or hometown listed.

Oh, and one last thought, I still eat kids cereal. My wife tells me she feels weird buying groceries because we do not have any kids yet, but she still comes home with Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc. Today I ate some honey cluster stuff, and the first thing I thought when I pulled it out of the cabinet was "You can tell this isn't a kids cereal, there's no game on the back!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-38248880478875751342010-03-25T09:28:08.188-04:002010-03-25T09:28:08.188-04:00I learned SO much about baseball by reading the ca...I learned SO much about baseball by reading the card backs!

I was also a "cereal box reader." I still have to have something to read while eating breakfast. Now I usually read something on the Internet (news or blogs) while eating breakfast. In fact I'm reading this blog while eating my raspberry pop tarts and drinking my orange juice. :)Matt Runyonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08386635541020320778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-11679768318359074242010-03-25T01:08:20.084-04:002010-03-25T01:08:20.084-04:00Excellent post!!
