It's a long story.

And the pair of back-to-back '57s are wonderful cards that I'd consider art.

Despite that I can't get past the fact you have an autographed '61 Koufax. Secondly, I like the big TRADED stamp. Forget Updates and Highlights give me Traded and use a big rubber stamp on the cards not that little note in the corner like they did in the eighties.

19. When I think high number cards I think obscure players. If I’m looking through some vintage cards and come across a player I have never heard of I check the back to see how big the number is because in my brain the oddball guys should be in the back of the set.

18. When I think Baseball Player and Dodger the guy I think of is Preacher Roe. I’m seeing all these 50s Dodger cards on the countdown and I can’t help but wonder where’s Preacher? (FYI… the second thing I think of when I think Dodgers is Night Owl so you are in elite company)

17. 1992 Bowman or Fleer Update were not exactly shortprinted, so somewhere someone is sitting on thousands of those Piazza cards.

16. I know it is a great moment in Dodger history but I am surprised it made it this high on your list because it doesn’t show his face and I have read many times you have a problem with that. Personally think it is a great photo. The only thing that would have made this a better card is if they cropped it a hair tighter and let his hand extend onto the white border.

15. Know what the first thing I notice about this card is? (other than the oddball pose…) The stirrups he is wearing. It is just something you hardly ever see anymore.

14. Your countdown is making me appreciate the 1957 set more and more. It has even passed 1956 as my second favorite 50s Topps set. My list now goes 53, 57, 56, 55, 51, 52, 54, 58, 59.

13. You picked the right one. 1956 > 1955 every time.

12. Is the regular version really better than the mini version on your countdown? So much for MMMMMIIIIIIINNNNNNIIIIIIEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!

11. I like the auto being included in the top of the countdown. I would have been fine with it in the Top 10, you know, since my opinion matters so much to you…
AdamEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-13286628861938114702012-12-18T08:30:38.399-05:002012-12-18T08:30:38.399-05:00I never realized that Frank Robinson had a stint a...I never realized that Frank Robinson had a stint as a Dodger till yesterday - My first thought was - wonder if he had a Dodger Card?

Kudos to NightOwl for reading my mind! dealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04633750324558738343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-5397614158680022802012-12-18T03:24:32.101-05:002012-12-18T03:24:32.101-05:00Heckuva group.
