The sad thing is Topps is my all-time favorite brand. Can't imagine how long it'd take to write a Panini rant post. Whatever it is... i don't have enough negative energy to do it. With that being said... I'll leave this comment on a positive note. I did enjoy their Hometown Heroes and Golden Age products.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-34882901580167274682018-04-04T01:01:01.955-04:002018-04-04T01:01:01.955-04:00I probably would have burned the "Astros Cele...I probably would have burned the "Astros Celebrate" card if I was in your position. It is easy to make custom multiple player cards and custom base/nickname cards. I also love that you get more hits in Panini baseball cards than you do in Topps baseball cardsRichard Bernierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16354998998653277398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-90044871094180482072018-04-03T08:56:41.885-04:002018-04-03T08:56:41.885-04:00"[I]t's clear they don't know what th..."[I]t's clear they don't know what they're doing."<br /><br />Are we sure about that? I sometimes think they know exactly what they are doing. I sometimes think putting out "lousy cards" is Panini's way of mocking MLB into granting them a license. Like: "If you don't give us a license, we're just going to flood the market with crap...which, btw, sells very well for us but also devalues both the sport and the hobby. Want us to focus on a couple of quality products? Give us a license." I'm told they do a fantastic job with basketball cards (I haven't collected basketball cards since the 80s), so (if that's true) I have to believe they know how to make a decent card when they want to. There's just not much reason for them to want to make a decent baseball card right now.Stubbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07010142558613227433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-4833676323074511952018-04-03T08:38:17.129-04:002018-04-03T08:38:17.129-04:00This year's set is really terrible, though the...This year's set is really terrible, though the 1984 throwbacks look decent to me. I liked when they made their Extra Elite Edition stuff because even those were not the greatest looking cards at least I had something to get signed by players. Then they went all high end and expensive with that so it's pretty much useless to me now, as are most modern cards.Jamie Meyershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15184760000629386642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2700049103080920994.post-51277684999579415242018-04-03T02:46:42.979-04:002018-04-03T02:46:42.979-04:00TBH except for the names and logos, I don't se...TBH except for the names and logos, I don't see much difference between Topps and Panini.
